Starbuy Project 2 x Bausele Elemental 40mm

The Starbuy Project 2 x Bausele Elemental is a 50-piece exclusive created specifically for Starbuy. We designed it together with Bausele, and it is available nowhere else. It is our second collaboration with a watchmaker on a model made only for our customers, and its theme is Australia from the interior to the coast.

The fumé dial takes its colour from the red earth of the outback, deepening from warm rust at the centre to near-black at the edges. It is made the slow way: a stamped dial finished with four layers of lacquer, with the indices applied on top, which gives the colour real depth as the light moves across it.

Super-LumiNova BGW9 on the hands and indices keeps it legible after dark, and sapphire crystal with five layers of anti-reflective coating sits above it. The case is 40mm of 316L stainless steel, 12.2mm thick and a compact 46mm lug to lug. It is fitted with Bausele’s integrated steel bracelet, which tapers from 26mm to 18mm and closes with a deployant clasp that adjusts on the fly.

The dial brings the interior; the crown brings the coast. Inside the screw-down crown chamber is sand from Manly Beach, a physical piece of Sydney in every watch.

Beneath the dial is a Swiss Sellita SW200 automatic movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 38-hour power reserve, protected by anti-shock mounting and a soft-iron cage that resists magnetism up to 1,000 gauss. Two unidirectional bezels add genuine utility: an outer 60-minute scale for timing, and an inner 12-hour ring for tracking a second time zone. With 200m water resistance, it carries the full Elemental specification that Bausele developed with 400 collectors and ocean swimmers. This Australian-designed automatic watch is as at home after a swim at Shelly Beach as it is across the table at a long lunch.

What we love about this watch: We wanted a watch that could only have been designed here, and the Starbuy Project 2 is exactly that. Red earth on the dial, Manly sand in the crown: the whole country, from the outback to the ocean, in 40mm of steel. With only 50 made and no reissue planned, it’s for the collectors who want to own a piece that was designed for them rather than chosen from a catalogue.

• How and when will my StarBuy order be shipped?
  We ship all orders via Australia Post Express for fast and reliable delivery. We aim to dispatch every order as quickly as possible—typically within 1–3 business days. You'll receive a confirmation email with tracking details as soon as your order ships.
  

• Can StarBuy guarantee delivery dates?
  While Australia Post Express is generally reliable, their delivery dates are estimates only and may vary, especially during busy periods. We appreciate your understanding if your parcel takes a little longer to arrive.
  

• Will I need to sign for my order?
  Yes, a signature is required upon delivery. If no one is home, we recommend using a work address. Australia Post may offer contactless delivery—in those cases, we follow their current safety protocols. Risk and ownership transfer to the recipient upon delivery.
  

• What if I am not home when my order arrives?
  If no one is available to sign, Australia Post will leave a card with details on how to collect your parcel from the closest authorised Australia Post Office. You’ll need to present a photo ID at the post office to pick it up. If you’ve authorised a Safe Drop with Australia Post previously, they’ll follow your existing instructions.

  Absolutely! As soon as your order is on its way, you’ll receive an email with tracking details. We kindly ask for your patience—tracking updates may take up to 3 business days after ordering.
  

• What are your shipping charges?
  We offer free shipping Australia-wide with Australia Post Express. For approved brands shipped to New Zealand, a $10 flat fee will be added to your total at checkout. Approved parcels to NZ are shipped within the Australia Post / NZ Post network.

  Unfortunately due to the model adopted by StarBuy, we are unable to reserve or put an item on hold. Items on sale are limited in quantity and often sell out quickly.
