The Oris Carl Brashear Limited Edition Calibre 401 powered by an in-house developed calibre is a landmark design. Most Swiss watch movements will be magnetised if exposed to the strong magnetic forces we encounter in daily life. When this happens, they become less accurate, and can stop altogether. To make them highly anti-magnetic, Oris engineered movements in the Calibre 400 Series using more than 30 non-ferrous and anti-magnetic components, including a silicon escape wheel and a silicon anchor. In testing by the renowned Laboratoire Dubois, Calibre 401 deviated by less than 10 seconds a day after exposure to 2,250 gauss.

For many reasons, you may not wear a mechanical watch every day. If you put a standard mechanical watch down for a day or two, it will stop as the power reserve runs down. Calibre 401 has a five-day power reserve so it’s ready to go when you are. It delivers this longer period of use via twin barrels, both of which house an extended mainspring, each long enough to store two-and-a-half days of power. It’s highly accurate, to -3/+5 seconds a day, better than a chronometer.

• How and when will my StarBuy order be shipped?
  We ship all orders via Australia Post Express for fast and reliable delivery. We aim to dispatch every order as quickly as possible—typically within 1–3 business days. You'll receive a confirmation email with tracking details as soon as your order ships.
  

• Can StarBuy guarantee delivery dates?
  While Australia Post Express is generally reliable, their delivery dates are estimates only and may vary, especially during busy periods. We appreciate your understanding if your parcel takes a little longer to arrive.
  

• Will I need to sign for my order?
  Yes, a signature is required upon delivery. If no one is home, we recommend using a work address. Australia Post may offer contactless delivery—in those cases, we follow their current safety protocols. Risk and ownership transfer to the recipient upon delivery.
  

• What if I am not home when my order arrives?
  If no one is available to sign, Australia Post will leave a card with details on how to collect your parcel from the closest authorised Australia Post Office. You’ll need to present a photo ID at the post office to pick it up. If you’ve authorised a Safe Drop with Australia Post previously, they’ll follow your existing instructions.
