Oris have extended their collaboration with the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat to the end of 2025 and are set to present the Dat Watt Limited Edition II a watch based on the Aquis diver’s watch that supports the conservation of one of the world’s most vital ecosystems.

The watch has a unique green dial, coloured to reflect the way light reflects off the salt marshes found in the Wadden Sea, an area that covers 11,500 km2 in northern Europe. The watch also features an unusual circular date indication, driven by a Swiss made automatic mechanical movement. It’s water-resistant to 30 bar (300 metres) and comes with both a bracelet and an interchangeable rubber strap. Only 2,009 pieces will be made, marking the year the Wadden Sea was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The complication is powered by the Oris base 743 automatic winding movement which uses Centre hands for hours and minutes, subsidiary second at 9 h, date window, date corrector, fine timing device and stop-second The Oris Dat Watt watch is also equipped with a date window at 6 o’clock, white Superluminova accents and is limited to 2,009 pieces to mark the year the Wadden Sea was awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site status.

Following in the footsteps of other Oris Aquis watches before it, the Dat Watt watch comes fully prepped for diving with a Dat Watt decorated screw down case back water resistant to 300 metres, a 43.5mm stainless steel case, sapphire crystal glass and a unidirectional rotating bezel equipped with a 60 minute scale.
