Seiko Prospex Asia-Pacific Limited Edition 41.7mm HBB004K

The Seiko Prospex HBB004K captures the last hour of a tropical sunset in a limited edition men's automatic dive watch. It's part of Seiko's 2026 Asia-Pacific Limited Edition and only 2,500 are being made. The deep orange dial has a fine sand texture, so the colour shifts from bright to burnt depending on the light. A black unidirectional rotating bezel frames it, the classic dive-watch contrast of orange against black. The 41.7mm stainless steel case is angular, with sharp facets in the style of Seiko's Samurai divers, and the dial carries the same angles. At 12.3mm thick and 49.5mm lug to lug, it wears neater than most 200m divers. It comes on a stainless steel bracelet with 20mm lugs, closed by a three-fold clasp with a secure lock, push-button release and a diver's extension.

Under the orange dial it's a proper Prospex. The Seiko Caliber 4R35 automatic movement has 23 jewels, hacking seconds, a date display, manual winding and about 41 hours of power reserve. It's rated to 200m for diving, with a screw-down crown and a screw case back. Hardlex crystal protects the dial, and magnetic resistance is 4,800 A/m. The case back is engraved with "LIMITED EDITION" and a unique serial number. Prospex stands for "Professional Specifications" and traces back to 1965, when Seiko released Japan's first diver's watch. The HBB004K is an orange dive watch for summer holidays, boat days and long lunches that run late, and it keeps its bold colour in the office too.
