The new SSK039J1 is one of a new trio of Seiko watches which are Presage’s first Cocktail Time pieces with GMT functionality.

Seiko Presage Cocktail Time watches are inspired by Japanese cocktail culture and specific drinks from the Star Bar in Tokyo’s sophisticated Ginza area. Blended with Scotch whisky and Drambuie, the ‘Rusty Nail’ balances sweet and spice flavouring with a trace of smokiness and honey finished with a garnish of lemon peel, giving it a brown hue that matches the dial of the SSK039J.

The dial of the light blue ‘Rusty Nail’ SSK039 dress watch with its sunray reflections is designed to resemble the view through a cocktail glass. The GMT hand is inspired by the stem of a cocktail glass, whilst the second hand signifies a cocktail stirrer with its elegant handle. In tandem with the Arabic numerals at each index, this timepiece tracks two timezones simultaneously. With razor sharp markers, and Dauphine-style hands, this piece has a date feature at 3 o’clock, for added practicality. It is accompanied by a brown leather strap.

The Seiko SSK039J Rusty Nail model features a case size of 40.5mm, case thickness of 12.8mm, lug-to-lug size of 47.5mm and a lug width of 20mm and has an approximate weight of 70gm.

The SSK039J features the Seiko hacking calibre 4R34 that is both manual as well as a self winding automatic movement with a normal operating accuracy tolerance of +45 / -35 seconds per day and a power reserve of 41 hours. The watch features a box-shaped Hardlex glass. Water resistance rating is 50m and additional features include an exhibition case back and a date display and GMT functionality for keeping time in 2 different time zones.

3 Year warranty from Seiko (Australia). StarBuy are Authorised distributors of Seiko Watches. All Seiko Watches are shipped in Seiko original packaging. All Seiko warranties are registered online directly by Seiko. After purchase and shipping by StarBuy, an email is sent by Seiko registering the warranty. A link to the online instructions manual is also sent within the email. Seiko no longer supply any hard copies of the warranty booklet or the instructions manual.

• How and when will my StarBuy order be shipped?

  Yes, a signature is required upon delivery. If no one is home, we recommend using a work address. Australia Post may offer contactless delivery—in those cases, we follow their current safety protocols. Risk and ownership transfer to the recipient upon delivery.
  

• What if I am not home when my order arrives?
  If no one is available to sign, Australia Post will leave a card with details on how to collect your parcel from the closest authorised Australia Post Office. You’ll need to present a photo ID at the post office to pick it up. If you’ve authorised a Safe Drop with Australia Post previously, they’ll follow your existing instructions.

  We offer free shipping Australia-wide with Australia Post Express. For approved brands shipped to New Zealand, a $10 flat fee will be added to your total at checkout. Approved parcels to NZ are shipped within the Australia Post / NZ Post network.
