Seiko Prospex Grand Touring Solar Speedtimer Chronograph SSC939P. Case size 41.4mm

The Seiko SSC939P1 Prospex Speedtimer Touring collection is a Solar powered watch with 100m water resistance. The SSC939P features a classic looking chronograph with a sunburst Grey dial and a stainless steel case and bracelet with a three-fold clasp with a push-button release. The glass used is Curved Sapphire Crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface.

Adding to the popular ‘Speedtimer’ watch collection, this particular design features a larger case size – the original was 39mm, whilst this piece is 41.4mm, featuring a tapered bracelet, aluminum bezel and tachymeter for increased practicality and visibility. Conveniently, this watch charges from both natural and indoor lighting.

Featuring the Seiko Solar V192 movement, the SSC939 has an approximate accuracy tolerance of +/- 15 seconds per month and a 6 month Power reserve once fully charged. This model is finished in full Stainless Steel with a pull-out crown. The hands and the markers have lumibrite to make them visible at night (once fully charged). The case size is 41.4mm and thickness 13mm with a lug-to-lug size of 45.9mm and a lug width of 21mm and the entire watch weighs approximately 165gm. The Speedtimer SSC939P models have a Water Resistance rating of 100m.

The additional features of the SSC939P Speedtimer are a screw case back, Tachymeter function, 24 hour hand, a chronograph up to 60 mins in 1/5 second increments, a date display, small second hand, overcharge prevention function and a resuming electric power generation display.

Seiko SSC939P1 uses Seiko solar movement V192. Click HERE to see the full instructions manual for the Speedtimer model.

What we love: Introduced in 1969, the Seiko Speedtimer marked a significant milestone in chronograph innovation, heralding a pivotal decade for the Speedtimer during its prime. The 1970s were renowned for many things: fashion, music, and notably, motorsports. Designed with the theme of 'Classic Motorsports,' the 'Grand Touring' Speedtimer SSC939P draws inspiration from vintage muscle cars, evoking the spirit of racing down endless highways.
