Seiko Prospex ALPINIST Edition Mens 200m WR Watch SPB121J. This timepiece is from the Alpinist collection, first launched in 1959 exclusively for the Japanese market. Designed for Japanese ‘Yama-otoko’ mountain men, to be reliable in treacherous terrain, these are part of the Land collection.

Hugely popular with many fans worldwide, these new designs are now available globally with an upgraded specification from their original inspiration – a longer power reserve of 70 hours and a glass upgrade to Sapphire glass.

The Alpinist Edition SPB121J features a Stainless Steel case with a diameter of 39.5mm and thickness of 13.2mm. The lug-to-lug size is 46.4mm and it has a lug width is 20mm. The SPB121J1 features the Seiko hacking (stop seconds hand function) calibre 6R35 movement with automatic and manual winding functionality, a daily time tolerance of +25 / -15 seconds per day and a 70 hour power reserve. 

The watch is rated as 200m / 20 bar WR and features lumibrite on the hands and markers, sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface, a date display with a magnifier on the glass and an exhibition case back .

This watch features a brown leather strap and a stainless steel case with a green dial with a screw case back, a screw lock crown and a exhibition see through case back. All Alpinist models feature a rotating compass inner ring.
