The Oris Aquis Social Club Edition II (01 733 7789 4121) is a Swiss automatic dive watch made for a specific group: the 62 Oris Social Clubs around the world, which bring people together over mechanical watches. It is limited to 500 unnumbered pieces. It is built on the Aquis Date Relief. The 43.5mm multi-piece stainless steel case carries a bezel with the minutes scale raised in relief, so it reads by touch as well as by eye. The dial has a frosted silver-grey finish that changes with the light without becoming showy. It sits under sapphire crystal domed on both sides, with anti-reflective coating on the inside. The screwed stainless steel caseback carries special engravings. It comes on a green textile NATO-style strap with a stainless steel buckle and a 23mm lug width, which makes it feel relaxed and easy to wear.

Inside is the Oris Calibre 733, a Swiss automatic movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz). It has a 41-hour power reserve, an instantaneous date change, a date corrector and stop-seconds for precise setting. Water resistance is 300m (30 bar), so this is a proper 300m automatic dive watch, not a desk diver in dive-watch styling. Oris has made mechanical watches in Hölstein, Switzerland, since 1904, and the Aquis is its main modern diver. This edition works for weekend swims and weekday wear, and the NATO strap makes it a good choice for warm Australian summers.

  If no one is available to sign, Australia Post will leave a card with details on how to collect your parcel from the closest authorised Australia Post Office. You’ll need to present a photo ID at the post office to pick it up. If you’ve authorised a Safe Drop with Australia Post previously, they’ll follow your existing instructions.
