Seiko Presage Purple Sunset Cocktail Time Limited Edition 40.5mm Mens watch SRPK75J is an automatic movement watch. A 2024 release, the Star Bar Limited Edition SRPK75J is limited to 9000 pieces globally. Made in Japan.

Traditionally in Japan ‘Nomunication hour’ – a hybrid of nomu (drink) and communication, is after 5pm – when it’s cocktail hour and time to talk things over. The Seiko Presage Cocktail Time collection was inspired by this Japanese custom – with each timepiece named after drinks mixed by Hisashi Kishi, head bartender of Star Bar in Tokyo’s Ginza area.

Hisashi Kishi has created a menu of Seiko-inspired original cocktails under the theme of ‘Tokyo Magic Hour’ adding interesting sips to his already-extensive repertoire. One of which is the ‘Purple Sunset’ – Purple at the top of the glass and orange at the bottom, the subtle deep gradation is designed to look like the late embers of the sun setting over Tokyo skies.

With Dauphine-style hands, and a date feature at 3 o’clock, this elegant Presage timepiece comes with a brown calf leather strap. It features a 4R35 automatic hacking 23 jewel movement that is accurate to +45 / -35 seconds per day. This movement is automatic with manual winding and has an approximate power reserve of 41 hours. The Stainless Steel case with the multi-tonal Burgundy / Purple dial has a case diameter of 40.5mm, a lug-to-lug size of 47.5mm, case thickness of 11.8mm and a lug wifth of 20mm. The glass is box-shaped Hardlex. With a Water Resistance rating of 50m, additional features of the SRPK75J include LIMITED EDITION on the case back, Screw case back, See-through case back, Serial number engraved on the case back, Interchangeable strap with quick release spring bars.

What we love: The dial. Best viewed in the sun, none of the images do the watch any justice. The Stainless Steel case and the dial with the Rose gold tone hands and markers have the perfect contrast. Made in Japan.
