Seiko Presage SSA447J1 is a mechanical automatic watch with an Ivory dial and is Made in Japan.
This timepiece is from the Seiko Presage Style 60s collection: practical modern watches with retro vintage 1960s looks. The collection is inspired by the design of Japan’s first ever chronograph, originally created by Seiko in 1964 to coincide with an important sporting event in Japan. This Presage watch is the first in the Style 60s series to feature the 4R57 movement, with its characteristic sub-dial at the 6 o’clock position. The power-reserve hand and indicator positioned from twelve o’clock to four o’clock further emphasises its vintage style. This watch features an ivory dial along with a stainless steel bracelet and black contrasting bezel.
The SSA447J features the Seiko calibre 4R57 that is both manual as well as a self winding automatic movement with a normal operating accuracy tolerance of +45 / -25 seconds per day and a power reserve of 41 hours. The watch has a 40.8mm stainless steel case with thickness of 14.3mm, a stainless steel bracelet with lumibrite hands and indexes, box shape hardlex glass and a three-fold push button release clasp. Water resistance rating is 50m and additional features include a screw case back and an exhibition case back.
What we love: Timeless looks and precise Japanese mechanical timekeeping. Minimalistic watch designs with a distinctly Japanese aesthetic.
