The slender stainless steel case of the Pangaea family forms the ideal backdrop for an unusually large Golden moon-phase display of the LS908G. The upper half of the dial features a dynamic cut in which the golden moon moves across a dark blue, starry background, just like looking at the sky on a clear night. The natural impression of the Earth’s satellite corresponds to the astronomical precision with which the Lunascope represents the moon’s various phases. The moon takes 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, and 2.9 seconds to circumnavigate the Earth.

Most watches round this figure down to 29.5 days via the movement, which means they deviate by eight hours per year and need adjusting by one complete day every third year.

However, the movement specially designed for the MeisterSinger Lunascope is far more exact. Its moon-phase indicator only needs a slight adjustment after 128 years. The workings of the Swiss automatic movement in the Lunascope equipped with the moon-phase module can be viewed through the screwed glass exhibition back of the 40-millimeter case.

Among other honours, the Lunascope was awarded both the iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award for its outstanding design.

The MeisterSinger Luna automatic movement ticks inside the Lunascope and is fitted with the moon phase module developed by MeisterSinger. The movement is based on the Swiss Sellita SW220, which is specially modified for MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches. The Lunascope’s moon phase display is exceptionally precise and only needs a slight adjustment every 122 years. The date display can be conveniently set via its quick-switch function. The rotor provides the watch with a power reserve of 38 hours. The true beauty of the Swiss movement is made visible with a see through caseback.
