Seiko Prospex Solar Powered 200m diver's mens watch SNE597P. Sapphire Glass. Case size 41mm.

The Seiko SNE597P 200m WR watch, in a classic diver’s style, showcases Seiko’s diving watch heritage, developed since 1965 when the brand created Japan’s first ever diver’s watch.

Under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass of the SNE597P is a classic black dial, with bold indices coated in strong Lumibrite. With highly visible hands and indices to meet professional diving standards, this watch is suitable for both underwater excursions as well as on-land daily wear. This piece has a black unidirectional rotating bezel. The case design of this watch has been reconfigured to allow for its beautiful finishing to take centre stage. The technical advancement of the solar charging calibre of this watch allows for a particularly slim case design of only 11.3mm.

This practical diver’s watch with sapphire glass is conveniently solar-powered; the watch charges from both natural and electric light. Prospex is a combination of the words ‘Professional’ and ‘Specifications’. These timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable within extreme or everyday environments, for experts, sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.

The Seiko SNE597P features the Seiko Solar Quartz V157 movement with an approximate time tolerance of +/- 15 seconds a month and has a 10 month power reserve once the watch is fully charged. This Stainless Steel watch has a case size of 41mm, thickness of 11.3mm, a lug-to-lug size of 48.8mm and a lug width of 20mm with an approximate weight of 160gm and features Sapphire Crystal glass. The bracelet has a three-fold clasp with secure lock and a push button release with an extender. The hands, indexes and bezel feature lumibrite for a glow in the dark effect.

Additional features of the SNE597P1 include an overcharge prevention function, a quick-start function and a date display.

What we love: The overall classic look and feel with the black dial with the matching bezel and the ticking second hand. Bright lume and solar so no battery changes. Solid timepiece. Prospex is a combination of the words ‘Professional’ and ‘Specifications.’ Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.
